Hi,
here's the concept i drew:
and here is the jersey modeling part. I used a larger sphere over the body masked some parts then used extract.
i used mask lasso brush to mask out areas of jersey:
i used zremesher keep groups to improve topology on jersey.
modeling the whole character took about 1.5 hrs (excluding a detailed topology refinements pass). (it was helpful making list of each part that needed to be modeled then going through them one at a time)
