posing character with transform tools in ZBrush

Hi,

I’m new to posing and modeling characters in ZBrush but thought these couple tips might be helpful.

I liked having the upper body and hands in same polygroup, and the legs and toes in their own polygroup, and the head/eyes/ears in its own polygroup.  This way i could use polygroup isolate to work on separate areas.  And for posing i liked having all the character parts merged into one layer so i could work on the overall pose.

I also liked having pretty low res for posing.  I used zremesher half function to get lower res.

For posing i mainly used rotate/translate transform tools together with move/move topological.  Making use of lasso mask tool to work on smaller regions.

It also helped having a drawn pose for the goal of the pose.
