a couple techniques that were fun to use for making these Basketball sketches were using a thick brush to create a silhouette for a pose then reducing the opacity in photoshop then sketching a gesture over the silhouette. another technique tried was to make a gesture sketch in light blue then reduce the opacity and draw over it with black ink in photoshop.
